Who is Coquette Lingerie?

Founded in 1979 in Canada, Coquette is an international designer and fashion house of lingerie. Since then, the family owned company has delivered high quality collections that contain diverse styles and a wide range of sizing while consistently captivating a realistic feminine appeal. It all started with a pair of crotchless panties. It was in a small one bedroom apartment equipped with a single sewing machine where Catherine and Peter Horea created their first garment. They marketed and sold the panties to neighbouring stores in the Kitchener/Waterloo area in Ontario, Canada. From that day forward, the strong collaborative partnership between Peter and Catherine, her inspirational eye for design and his entrepreneurial spirit has been the driving force to making this family business an international success.

Coquette's Main Collection includes a variety of lingerie types and styles. From Baby dolls to Corsets, Teddy’s to Bustiers, there is something for everyone. Available in a full range of sizes, the Coquette main collection also includes a selection of bridal styles.

The Coquette Holiday Collection includes Christmas, Valentine's Day, and New Year's inspired lingerie available in holiday colours, a variety of styles, and full range of sizes.

Every year, Coquette releases new designs in 4 different collections created in house by our talented team of female designers. Coquette Main, Holiday, Darque and Elite Packaged Line, all containing hundreds of delicate and uniquely designed styles ranging from romantic to risqué designs in a full range of sizes are featured in this collection. Mostly black, the pieces in the Darque collection are pushing fashion trends and boundaries and bringing lingerie outside the bedroom.

LGBTQ+ baby boomers vs Generation Z

As PRIDE month draws to a close, here at Oh La La Shop Ltd, we felt that it was only appropriate that we gain knowledge and feedback from generations and how they feel the LGBTQ+ community is supported and valued. We compared the baby boomers generation to the Zoomers commonly known as Generation Z. During our research, we found that all of the samples knew what LGBTQ+ mean and could correctly identify this. We found that they knew this due to the knowledge and education that is available. When asking if both generations know of someone that is part of the LGBTQ+ community, they could easily identify an individual close to them whom both generations know and support those individuals. All of the sample sizes said that they didn’t look at anyone in the LGBTQ+ community differently.
